Decent ebook reader with a serious memory problem

I use this app to read technical books and have to skip from page to page looking for information. When scrolling through a book in this manner, the computer memory that is consumed by Clearview as reported in the OS X Activity Monitor quickly soars into the gigabytes - even though the total size of the book is 15 or 20 megabytes.

I have emailed Clearview support regarding this but after a month have not received any response whatsoever.

Poor programming and non-existent support.
