Times Change
Developers tend to drop out after a time, no longer improving their software. Clearview is still OK, but it has lost its position as the premier e-book reader for the Mac. I have moved on to a different reader which suits my personal needs better.
PREVIOUS ASSESSMENT FROM 2014: There is no better e-book reader for the Mac than Clearview. It handles a variety of formats well; it provides a number of reading typefaces; it has a workable library system; it provides a means to update a book; the presentation is readable; the interface provides both paging and scrolling, one and two page formats; and it doesnt crash. The developer is responsive, too. Its worth the price.
